AvL Customer Peak Uplink Recognizes David Madrid for his Efforts

Many thanks to Mark Faloon and Peak Uplink for recognizing AvL Customer Service team member David Madrid for his efforts. In a post on Facebook, Mark Faloon stated, "Peak Uplink thanks Dave Madrid for doing some field upgrades to 2 of our AVL dishes here in Oklahoma City. AvL Employee Champions Fundraising for 2017 Walk to Defeat ALS

AvL employee David Mayton is passionate about helping those with ALS, including a good friend of his. David, along with his wife and many friends, participated in the recent Winston-Salem Walk to Defeat ALS. In doing so, David and his team raised more than $3,000 for the cause. Well done, David!

AvL @ 2017 Asheville Fit Company Challenge

A group of AvL staff participated in the 2017 Asheville Fit Company Challenge, which took place on April 27th  at the University of North Carolina - Asheville Straus Track. Team AvL was placed second in their respective division and the teams came within the top four in each course. Congratulations to all AvL participants!

AvL at the 4th Annual Woodfin 5K

AvL Technologies was thrilled to sponsor the 4th Annual Woodfin 5k race benefitting Woodfin Elementary School. Team AvL brought 20 runners, including several kids who all finished the challenging course.

AvL in the News: WLOS - The cost of a living wage (Part 4)

AvL Technologies was featured in a story on WLOS News 13. The topic is “News 13 Investigates: The cost of a living wage (Part 4)” and reporter Karen Zatkulak interviewed Mike Proffitt last week for it. Because AvL is Living Wage Certified – and because of Jim’s AvL Technology Park BHAG, which was developed to attract new tech companies and good jobs to Asheville – the Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Commission recommended that WLOS include AvL in the story. AvL in the News: AvL Employee Willie Pulley Featured in WLOS Report on Motorcycle Safety

AvL employee Willie Pulley was featured in a recent report on Asheville's News 13 WLOS on motorcycle safety. Willie was interviewed about a recent accident, during which he was stopped and hit by a car. As Willie was struck from behind and pushed into the car in front of him, he maneuvered his bike to lessen the impact. Willie claims that annually taking a Bike Safe NC class has taught him many valuable lessons and saved him from serious injury in the recent accident.
