AvL Antennas Certified for Ka- Band Performance

AvL Technologies, Inc. has recently certified that all their segmented carbon-fiber flyaway antennas are suitable for Ka-band operation. The Model 9066 Carry-On, 1m, 1.2m, and 2m flyaway antennas were laser-tracked to assure Ka-band performance at AvL's new on-site test range where RF performance in Ku band can also be tested prior to shipment.

AvL high-performance Ku-band antennas are noted for their "text-book" patterns, so it was not surprising that they also tested well at Ka band. These reflectors, coupled with the zero-backlash Roto-Lok drive positioner assures that AvL is prepared to meet the future demand for Ka-band vehicle-mounted and flyaway antennas.
